Trail-blazing conference - Leading to the Edge
About pushing back boundaries and leaving one's secure area.

From July 20 to 27, 2002, about a hundred and fifty leaders, managers, specialists, advisors, teachers, and trainers from the United States, Western and Eastern Europe, Israel, and Palestine will come together to push back boundaries. These are people who know their responsibilities towards themselves and the society in which we live, and who know that to change the world one must start with oneself. That is the reason for this week of thorough self-examination, so that new inner possibilities may be discovered, and inner resistance may be conquered. All this will then result in a renewed position in the work situation and in society; a personal and inspiring leadership
of courage and honesty. This conference was planned before the devastating events of September 11, and the events after, as the increasing war in the Middle-East. The need for initiative and leadership seems greater now than ever.
The gathering will be guided by internationally renowned trainers and teachers, top professionals in their field. We name: Gail Straub (USA, Empowerment), Peter Goldman (England, White Lodge, Centre for New Directions), Marcel Derkse (former manager and teacher at De Voorde), Zhenya Alekseeva (Golubka, Russia), Mary Inglis (Findhorn, Scotland), Leah Green (USA, Mid-East Citizen Diplomacy), and many, many others. The total staff will consist of more than 25 people.

A few spectacular items on the programme are: the Council for all Beings (deep ecology), where we can experience personally what we are doing to the environment, and where we will receive instructions as to what we can do about this. The Compassionate Listening gathering, where Israelis and Palestinians will try to really listen to each other (and miracles may happen). The Peacetable, a major leadership and transformation game. There will be dozens of workshops, and there will be an entertainment programme, featuring many performers ranging from the classical arts to cabaret and pop. Partners and children are also welcome; there is a special programme for younger children.

The conference will take place in Vaeshartelt Castle near Maastricht, a wonderful location in exceptionally beautiful surroundings.

The initiative for this conference comes from Erik van Praag (Phoenixvisie bv) and Niels Pilaar (Coram International bv), and is recommended by a council of recommendation consisting of David Gershon (USA, CEO Global Action Plan), Oriah Mountain Dreamer (Native Canadian), Dien de Boer-Kruyt (official at a few multinationals), Jack Spijkerman (television host), and Professor W. Ganzevoort (Professor at Amsterdam University).
